The tongue works in collaboration with the traditional lacing system to lock down the midfoot for a snug fit. FF BLAST PLUS and MAX Midsole Featuring FF BLAST PLUS foam, which is a softer and lighter evolution of its predecessor, the lower layer maintains high responsiveness but introduces more smoothness and fatigue resistance for longer runs. Sitting atop is a layer of FF BLAST MAX, which is one of Asics' most energetic midsoles, complemented with a cloud-like softness and a responsive energy return in each step.
